Avon Prepares New Parks and Recreation Community Survey
You'll soon have a chance to share your thoughts on Avon's parks, programs, and community events through a new survey. The Parks and Recreation Committee met on October 5, 2026, to review and refine the draft survey, which will be distributed digitally and in print before the end of the year. City leaders plan to use your feedback to evaluate major events, understand communication preferences, and shape future park amenities and offerings.
Highlights
- The community survey will be distributed before the end of the calendar year through digital links, QR codes, and paper copies at city locations.
- The survey will cover major city events like the Fourth of July Bike Parade, Movie Nights, the Health and Safety Fair, and Not So Spooky Halloween.
- New questions will be added to ask how residents prefer to receive program information and whether households have children or grandchildren under 18.
- City officials plan to gather feedback on smaller programs, communication methods, and park restroom amenities for young families.
